What are Static IPs?
Every machine on the Internet has a unique identifying number, called an IP address. Usually your ISP assigns you a different IP address (or Dynamic IP), each time you use the internet. A static IP address is unique to every client.
Why would you need it?
Are Dynamic IPs a thorn in your side? Does your network hardware require a static IP? Keep your hardware happy. Static IPs give you MORE OPTIONS, MORE POWER, and MORE CONTROL of your network infrastructure!
Whether it is setting up your own server, managing your own SMTP, improving remote access to your current network configuration, Static IP Addresses allow you greater flexibility to set-up your network to WORK for you.

What is needed for setup?
Setting up a Static IP address on our new network is incredibly easy, because there is no more need for L2TP connections. Yes, we've been listening to your requests and made sure that you no longer need a specific modem to enable a Static IP. Simply allocate a Static IP to your PPPOE connection and Bob's your uncle!
How can I get a static IP address?

Static IPs on our new network are allocated per region:
North: Free State, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West
East: KwaZulu-Natal
South: Eastern Cape, Western Cape and the Northern Cape
